Capturing the emotion and energy of events and parties is a cross between candid photojournalism and voyeuristic art. A good event photographer needs to be everywhere at once, be a fly on the wall, and be able to catch split second expressions that evoke the feelings of being at the event. Whether you were at the party or reception and want to remember it later or you want to let others know what they missed, the images should allow the viewer to experience it as if they were there.

Having photographed many special occasions and editorial magazine assignments, I strive to know the people attending and how they relate to one another. If you hire me to document your wedding and reception, I will be sure that I know the bride's and groom's family and the wedding party so that all of them will be featured thoroughly in the photos. I usually sit down with clients ahead of time and work out a shot list of the people and specific happenings they want to have. If you want me to work unseen and unheard, I am happy to do it.
